ET Load was born from a simple observation: Ethiopia's logistics industry was ripe for transformation. Traditional cargo transportation relied on informal networks of brokers, leading to inefficiencies, high costs, and countless empty return trips.
In 2023, our founders—a team of Ethiopian entrepreneurs and technology experts—came together with a vision to digitize this critical industry. We started by talking to hundreds of drivers and business owners, understanding their pain points and needs.
What we discovered was clear: drivers wanted more trips and better earnings, while businesses needed reliable, affordable transportation. The solution was a digital platform that could connect them directly, eliminating middlemen and optimizing vehicle utilization.
